The château bedrooms
All have uninterrupted panoramic countryside views, with an ever changing palette of seasonal colours.
Quality bed linen & towels are provided for all guests. Each bedroom has
its own en-suite, or private, luxury bathroom, complete with shower, roll top bath, WC and wash
hand basin. Toiletries, hair dryers & bathrobes are also supplied.
Hirondelle Suite
Situated on the 1st floor the suite sleeps 4 (super king + dressing with twin or super king + en-suite bathroom). The master suite is typical of the 20th century period with painted panelling, fireplace & 2 large picture windows that capture the morning sun. Named after the swallows that shared this room with us our first summer before the renovations took place. A large luxury en-suite bathroom, situated in the south tower includes a roll top bath & walk-in shower.
The adjoining dressing room is linked via 2 doors. This room is ideal as a dressing and/or family room. Alternatively the interconnecting doors can be locked and the room can be accessed & used independently.
This dual aspect suite has uninterrupted views to the south and east of the gardens & undulating wooded countryside beyond. It can be utilised as a family suite with a super king double & twin bed, or two bedrooms with super king beds for two couples.
Hortensia
Situated on the 1st floor the room sleeps 3 (super king + 1 single). This spacious dual aspect room has been named after the Hydrangea, Brittany's symbolic plant. Half paint panelled walls & large crystal candelabra give this room a special airy ambience. It has a large private family sized bathroom with roll top bath, power shower & double wash hand basins which is accessed across the landing. Views of the swimming pool, Hydrangea beds, pasture & countryside beyond.
This makes an ideal family room & can sleep up to 3 people in a super king double bed & 1 single.
Brocéliande
Situated on the 1st floor the room sleeps 2 (super king or twin with en-suite bathroom). This room is christened after our neighbour, la forêt de Brocéliande, not only known for its beauty, but also for its mystical connections to the story of King Arthur. Spacious, light & south facing this room comes with 2 large "picture frame windows". The en-suite bathroom boasts a roll top bath and power shower.
L'Hermine
Situated on the 2nd floor which has a small sitting area with comfy sofas, TV & refreshment facilities (sink, kettle, tea, coffee etc.). The room sleeps 2 (super king or twin with en-suite bathroom).
Two south facing dormer windows command far away views, hidden among the big ancient roof timbers. The bedroom is named after the stoat, "L'Hermine", its markings found on the Bretagne flag and important family heraldic shields throughout Brittany. The en-suite bathroom has both a roll top bath and large walk-in shower.
La tour Suite
Situated on the 2nd floor which has a small sitting area with comfy sofas, TV & refreshment facilities (sink, kettle, tea, coffee etc.). The room sleeps 4 (super king + super king or 2 singles + ensuite family bathroom).
The suite consists of both the north & south tower (the 2 bedrooms) & linked together by a small hallway that connects both bedrooms to the family sized bathroom & exits on to a shared living area. The bathroom has both a roll top bath & walk-in shower. An ideal family suite or private space for 2 couples wishing to holiday together.
The North Tower has a high, vaulted beaming ceiling with a super king double bed.
The South Tower has a large picture windows & the original decorative iron fireplace which provides a focus to the sitting area. Extra wide antique twin beds.
